TripTogether ("we", "us") is a group trip-planning app for iPhone, currently in development, and this website is its home page. This policy describes what information we collect through the app and this website, and how we use it. Questions: embesoftware@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Launch list (this website). If you join the launch list, we store your email address for the single purpose of notifying you when the app launches.
Account information (the app). When you create an account we store your name, email address, and profile photo if you add one, so your group can recognize you.
Trip content. The trips you create or join — itineraries, activities, expenses, packing items, comments, votes, bookings you log, and photos you upload — are stored so they can be shared with the members of those trips.
Technical data. Our service providers may process basic technical information (such as device and diagnostic data) needed to run and secure the service.

How we use it

To provide the app: showing your trips and content to you and to the members you share them with.
To send the launch notification you asked for, and essential account messages (such as password resets).
To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

Sharing

Trip content is visible to the members of that trip — that is the point of the app. Outside your trips, we share information only with the service providers that run TripTogether (including Google Firebase, which hosts our database, sign-in, and photo storage) and when required by law.

Booking links

The app includes links to third-party travel services (such as flights, stays, cars and tours). When you follow one, that service's own privacy policy applies to anything you do there. We may earn a commission on bookings made through those links, at no extra cost to you.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your launch-list email at any time by emailing us; the launch email itself will include an unsubscribe link.
In the app, you can edit or delete content you created, remove your profile photo, and request account deletion by contacting us.

Children

TripTogether is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Material changes to how the app handles your information will be reflected before or when they take effect.
